Volunteers Hard at Work
Every hour a volunteer donates in working for Hold Your Horses represents another hour our remarkable staff can spend with our clients.

Group Volunteer Opportunities Always Available
Captains of 2 local FIRST Robotics team put their skills to work building raised sensory, butterfly and vegetable gardens.

Barn chores
Join us in the mornings at 7:45 a.m. to feed horses, clean stalls and help lead horses to the pasture or come out at 4 p.m. to help with evening chores on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Maybe you want to do lunch? We need help Saturdays and Sundays feeding lunch and moving horses.
Hay!
Help put up hay in our hay barn after our fields have been cut. This is extremely strenuous and satisfying work. Comes with bragging rights.

Project Work
Maybe you have carpentry skills? These are oh so useful around the farm. Let us point you to a building or repair project that needs some love and attention. Your time, your talents, our unending gratitude!

Property work
Like to run a riding mower or do you find weeding or weed whacking a good way to help clear your head? We have endless green acreage that would welcome you in the summer months. There is no end to the painting, fixing, cleaning and organizing tasks in store for you at the farm and nothing feels as good as the satisfaction of a job that has a beginning middle and end. In winter, well, the shovels await your kind attention.

Cleaning
Are you a clean freak? Come clean horse tack, barn equipment, therapy toys, and even our horses!
